Miami, Fla. (December 22, 2022) – The Miami Football Club announced today the acquisition of midfielder Gabriel Cabral.
The 25-year-old Brazilian joins the 305 after making 33 appearances, including playoffs, in USL League One champions side Tormenta FC. During the 2022 campaign he scored three goals and added another three assists helping the club secure a spot in the playoffs and winning the 2022 USL League One Final.
Originally from Petropolis, Brazil, Cabral attended University of Charleston from 2015 to 2018. The 5-foot-11-inch midfielder made 68 appearances and scored 12 total goals during his collegiate career. Cabral helped the “Charleston Golden Eagles” make it all the way to win the “MEC regular season” and was named “MEC All-Freshmen Team” for the 2016 season.
