The Miami Football Club announced today the signing of defender Achille Truchot, pending league and federation approval.
Raised in Miami, the French born 19-year-old joins Miami FC ahead of the 2024 season. In 2023, Truchot signed with 1. SC Znojmo FK in the Czech Republic after transferring from Team Vaud Yverdon Région et Broye in Switzerland. While Truchot was with Yverdon Sport, the team won the Challenge League and were promoted to the Super League.
“I am very excited and proud to represent the city of Miami this season. We are working hard every day to make sure we have a great season,” said Truchot. “Looking forward to seeing our fans and supporters and giving everything we have on the field.”
In 2021-2022, the right-back played Thonon Évian Grand Genève FC competing in the Championnat National 2 and Championnat National 3 in France. Truchot played for the U-18 and U-19 teams before being called up to the first team.
Prior to playing professionally, Truchot played for PSG Academy in Miami throughout his youth career from U-9 to U-15, bringing local Miami talent to this season’s squad.
